Terms of Service

How quotes, bookings, payment and cancellations work — what we commit to when we take a job, and the few things we need from you in return.

Last updated: September 2, 2026 Set under Australian jurisdiction
In plain terms: the price we quote is the price you pay, we turn up when we say we will, and if the result is not right we come back and fix it. The rest of this page sets out the detail behind those three commitments.
01

What These Terms Cover

These terms apply when you request a quote, make a booking, or receive cleaning services from Fresho Carpet Cleaning Melbourne ("we", "us", "our"), and when you use this website. By booking a job with us you accept them.

Where we have given you a separate written agreement — which is common for commercial sites, multi-site operators and ongoing maintenance programs — that agreement takes precedence over anything on this page to the extent the two differ.

02

Quotes And Pricing

  • Quotes are free and carry no obligation. We will not chase you for an answer.
  • A quote is based on the information you give us — the rooms, the floor area, the condition, property type and access. If those turn out to be materially different on the day, we will tell you before starting and give you a revised figure to accept or decline.
  • We do not add charges after the fact. If we did not raise it with you on site, it does not appear on the invoice.
  • Quotes remain valid for 30 days unless we have said otherwise in writing.
  • Out-of-hours and weekend work carries no premium on our usual rates.
03

Bookings, Access And Cancellations

A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date, a time window and an address with you. We will contact you if anything on our side changes.

  • Access. Someone aged 18 or over needs to provide access at the agreed time, or you need to have arranged access with us in advance — a key, a code, a building manager or a concierge.
  • Rescheduling. Tell us as early as you can and we will move the booking at no cost.
  • Cancellations. There is no cancellation fee if you give us reasonable notice. Where a crew has already travelled to the address and cannot gain access, we may charge a call-out fee to cover the trip.
  • Our delays. Traffic, an overrunning earlier job or weather affecting access can occasionally put us behind. We will call you rather than leave you waiting.
  • Commercial staging. Where work is staged across several visits, the schedule agreed at quoting stage forms part of the booking.
04

What We Commit To

  • Attending at the agreed time, or calling you if we cannot.
  • Using a method appropriate to your fabric, tested on a hidden area before it is applied to anything visible.
  • Protecting floors, sills and surrounding surfaces before work begins, and returning furniture to where we found it.
  • Walking the finished job with you before we leave, wherever you are on site.
  • Re-doing anything you are not happy with. Tell us within seven days of the job and we will return and re-clean the affected area at no charge.
  • Carrying public liability cover for the work and the property we work in.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees that services be provided with due care and skill.

05

What We Ask Of You

  • Tell us about anything relevant before we start — a previous cleaning attempt, a fabric issue you are aware of, an existing tear, a seam coming apart or a repair.
  • Tell us about pets on the property, and about allergies or products you would rather we avoided.
  • Clear obviously fragile items and anything loose from the floor and the immediate work area. We will move furniture where needed, but we would rather not be responsible for anything irreplaceable.
  • Point out access constraints in advance — stairs, restricted parking, lift bookings, security requirements or induction processes.
  • Keep children and pets out of the work area while equipment is running.
The previous-attempt point matters more than any of the others. A prior home treatment can take chemistry off the table that we would otherwise use, and we cannot allow for it if nobody tells us.
06

Fabric Limits And Honest Expectations

Cleaning removes soil. It does not reverse damage that has already happened to the fabric itself, and we would rather say that plainly than have you discover it afterwards.

  • Sun damage. UV degrades and bleaches fibre beyond recovery. Cleaning cannot restore colour or strength that sunlight has taken.
  • Set-in and oxidised stains. Some marks have chemically bonded to the fibre or altered it. We assess and tell you the realistic outcome before we begin.
  • Pre-existing wear. Weakened stitching, worn headers, thinning fabric and prior repairs are noted at assessment. Where fabric is fragile enough that cleaning carries genuine risk, we will tell you and you can decide whether to proceed.
  • Previously treated areas. Where a home remedy has already been applied, outcomes are less predictable and we will say so.
  • Fabrics we decline. Occasionally the right advice is not to clean something at all. We will say that rather than take the job.
07

Payment Terms

  • Residential jobs are payable when the work is done, once you are happy with it.
  • We accept card and electronic transfer. Card details are handled by our payment provider — we do not store them.
  • Commercial accounts can be invoiced on agreed terms, confirmed in writing at quoting stage.
  • Prices include GST where applicable, and a tax invoice is issued for every job.
  • Where an invoice remains unpaid past its due date we may charge reasonable recovery costs, after contacting you first.
08

Liability And Cover

We carry public liability cover and we take responsibility for damage caused by our negligence in carrying out the work. Report any issue to us within seven days of the job so we can inspect it while the evidence is still fresh.

So far as we are permitted, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage, wear or weakness identified and noted at assessment.
  • Deterioration of fabric already compromised by UV exposure, age or a previous treatment.
  • Outcomes affected by information that was not disclosed to us before work began.
  • Indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income or business interruption.

Where we are liable, our liability is limited to re-performing the service or refunding what you paid for it, at our option — except where the Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise, which it does in a number of circumstances and which nothing here overrides.

Use Of This Website

The content on this site — text, photographs, graphics and layout — belongs to Fresho Carpet Cleaning Melbourne or is used with permission. You are welcome to read it, print it and share links to it. You may not republish it, use it commercially, or present it as your own.

Information here is provided in good faith and kept as current as we can, but it is general guidance rather than advice about your specific fabrics. Prices, availability and service areas can change. For anything you intend to count on, ask us directly and we will confirm it.

10

Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and of the state or territory in which the work is carried out. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory.

We would much rather resolve a problem with a phone call than a process. Call us first — in practice that has settled every issue we have had.
